Introduction
Byrneout Technologies LLC (“Byrneout,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with our website (byrneouttech.com) and our applications, including Classic Solitaire, ShowLedger — Classic, and Simple sACN Viewer (collectively, the “Services”).
Our core principle
We design our apps to collect as little data as possible. Where practical, data stays on your device and is never transmitted to us.
Information we do not collect
Our published apps are designed with the following defaults:
- No Byrneout account or registration required to use core features
- No collection of personal identifiers (name, email, phone) through the apps for advertising
- No advertising identifiers or tracking for advertising purposes
- No analytics SDKs that report usage to third-party advertisers
- No third-party crash-reporting or telemetry SDKs in Simple sACN Viewer
- No sale of personal data
Information stored on your device
Classic Solitaire may store game progress, preferences, themes, and statistics locally on your device. Optional Game Center features, when you choose to use them, are provided by Apple under Apple’s privacy terms.
ShowLedger — Classic stores show files (for example .showledger documents), preferences, and related production data locally on your Mac. This data remains under your control and is not uploaded to Byrneout servers unless you explicitly share or export it yourself.
Simple sACN Viewer stores a small set of preferences on-device only (for example last selected universe, whether channel numeric values are shown, and network interface preference) using Apple’s UserDefaults / App Storage APIs. Uninstalling the app removes that local data, subject to normal OS behavior.
Simple sACN Viewer — network and lighting data
For App Store Connect and product-specific details, see the app’s dedicated Simple sACN Viewer Privacy Policy. Summary: Simple sACN Viewer is a native SwiftUI app for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. It is a receive-only monitor for Streaming ACN (ANSI E1.31 / sACN) on your local network.
- The app receives multicast UDP traffic on port 5568 for the universe you select. Packet fields such as source name, priority, sequence, universe, and DMX channel levels (0–255) are processed in memory on your device for display and source selection.
- Those lighting values are not uploaded to Byrneout or any third-party server.
- The app requests Local Network access so it can join sACN multicast groups. Without that permission, live reception will not work.
- To present the system Local Network prompt reliably, the app may briefly browse for the Bonjour service type
_e131._udp. That browse is used for permission prompting, not for uploading data or discovering devices for a remote service. - Optional Demo Mode generates patterns entirely on-device and does not use the network.
- The app does not provide user accounts, analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs, and it does not implement lighting control output as part of normal operation.

If you email us (for example at info@byrneouttech.com or support@byrneouttech.com) or contact us through the website, we receive the information you choose to provide solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not add you to marketing lists without your consent.
App Store and platform data
When you download or purchase our apps through the Apple App Store or Mac App Store, Apple may collect certain information according to Apple’s privacy policy. Byrneout does not control Apple’s data practices. We may receive limited, aggregated, or anonymized sales and download reports from Apple that do not identify individual users.
Children’s privacy
Our Services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently received such information, contact us and we will delete it. Simple sACN Viewer is a professional lighting diagnostic tool and does not solicit personal information from children.
Data security
Because our apps primarily keep data on-device, security depends largely on your device and any backups you create. Keep your device updated and use a passcode or biometric lock.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
